Well - let's see yours! We'd love to drool a bit over it. '62 Safaris were some of the neatest-looking wagons of that period. Welcome to the forum! Marshall
There have been a few pics from time to time, beautiful cars and I'd love to have one nesting in my shop. Looking forward to seeing some pictures of yours, and glad you found the forums. There are many Pontiac wagons of all years here, but early sixties are kind of rare.
As I've said before, R-R, I really really like your car. There's just something about the early sixties Bonne-Saf's that hit home with me. Who knows, maybe some day, when Fox finally starts buying lottery tickets so he can win the forums some loot, he'll surprise me with one
Hi Mrwocohose, it seems that if you have one you, kolby and rob-red are then only ons this site that have one. I just took a quick look through the Gallery and these seem to be the only two posted. So maybe you could add your's also. I did find a '61... Thanks Tedy and Kolby66's... aboard.
Heres a couple of 62 Pontiac wagons that show up occasionally at the cruise in near me in Manassas, Virginia. The one above is a factory bucket seat car. You'll see more pictures of it in this Facebook photo album. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.185111388202586.43330.100001111775214&type=3&l=43f293199a This one has a later model OHC six under the hood. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.224643630916028.52506.100001111775214&type=3&l=7119bea01f These two Pontiac wagons have never been at the cruise in on the same night, and I don't think the owners know each other. And if you're interessted in seeing more pics from this cruise in, here are more that I've taken over the last couple years. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.366761730037550.78286.100001111775214&type=3&l=226db97cbb http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.101636773216715.732.100001111775214&type=3&l=8411b4968c http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.423400961040293.91041.100001111775214&type=3&l=1f201c0359 http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.408741089172947.87052.100001111775214&type=3&l=ecf9c5dcec
Welcome to the madness we call home. You don't really have to be nuts to be here, but it does help. A couple of years ago, Collectable Automobile did a photo feature on a 1962 Pontiac Bonneville Safari what was one of the few with factory buckets and air conditioning. I love this generation of Pontiac, too. I grew up with a 61 Laurentian sedan. Beautiful cars indeed.

Rear end banged when you accelerated cops took it off the road.sold to my buddy who made money in demo derby with that car in about 1972. She died with dignity not in a crusher
