That is a stunning car... thanks for sharing..... I do find it interesting while it is a high optioned car, it does not have "ALL" options available like the seller stated. It actually says it twice and again says "ordered with EVERY available option". I know its not a big deal and many people may not care, or even notice. However, as you and I know, as Buick fans and fans of the clamshell wagons, and also, as well as you know, I am a fanatic when it comes to how these old cars are optioned (I notice about everything) and I see several options that this car lacks, but it still does not distract from the beauty or personality of the car... options that were available that I do NOT see on this car are - cornering lights, light monitors, bumper gaurds, speed alert, trip odometer. I cannot tell if it has the fingertip wiper control option, or what radio system it has.... and it also appears to lack the "custom" interior option. Note the two-spoke steering wheel, "plainer" seats and no carpet on the lower door panels, as opposed to the ones with the 3-spoke custom cushioned steering wheel, lower door panel carpeting and plusher seating (one is pictured in the sales brochure). It is nice to see however that this car has the more unusual vinyl top, auto-climate control A/C and PW, PDL, power seat, 3rd seat, power tailgate, etc. Nevertheless, it is a stunning car! One I would love to have! Thanks again for posting.. it will be interesting to see how this ends.
A 10 days listing was ended after 3 days...it looks like it was sold through another list... Hopefully it shows up here with the new owner
Would be interesting to see what it sold for... now there is another 72' Estate Wagon on ebay... that plain-jane model... this one does not even have A/C! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1972...oryZ6144QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Update for '72 Estate Wagon I believe the '72 Estate wagon shown at the top of the thread was sold to a man in the S.E. US (Georgia?) and was recently placed on eBay for resale after some refurbs. The Seller stated something about selling due to need for property tax funds. I do not know if or for what is sold for recently, but sharp looking.
Absolutely stunning wagon. Here it is again for sale on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buic...m14QQhashZitem290266740162QQitemZ290266740162 BTW; welcome aboard... recognized your user name (v8buick.com)
Beautiful! The chrome wheels definitely set it off. Much better than the original wheel covers. Too bad the wheels don't come with the car (the seller says they're on loan). I also like the vinyl top, which you hardly ever see anymore, much less on wagons. Like 72KingswoodEstate, I also notice how a car is optioned. And it drives me up the wall when someone advertises that a car has "every option available" when it clearly doesn't. At least this time 'round, this seller is saying that it is "loaded with options", and not that it has "every option available". Still this is an absolutely beautiful car. I need to win the lottery. 'sigh'
Yep he wants $12.5k for it.. so lottery would be a good thing but then I think I would buy the one that isn't driven (there are pics of it in the gallery)-- it's still for sale I think.. Cheers Dyna
