Just wanted to say hello and thank you for welcoming me!!! I am an auto painter and bodyman. I have been looking for a cool, rust free wagon to restore for quite a bit but wanted something unique. I am a fan of 60's customs mainly. I am looking for some expert knowledge. After finding a 1963 Mercury colony park in Georgia I made the round trip and brought it home. After doing some research I am wondering how rare what I have come across may be so I would like to give some info and get your opinions. It is one owner, 54000 original miles, 390 ci, air, pwr steering, brakes, rear window. The steering wheel says anniversary edition. original dual exhaust. roof rack. 4 door. I have included some picture links. I hope they work or please view my galleries. I would really appreciate and expertise as it may factor into any plans I make in the restoration process directions I may take, Also any companies I may look to for reproduction parts for this car. Thanks for your help!!!
Hi FF75, glad you found your way here. Nice looking wagon...bodypaint man...that will come in habdy when your restoring your wagon.
to the world of wagons. Sounds and looks like a nice project and maybe a different wagon than the ordinary. Good luck on the info and getting it the way you want it.
Congrats on the Mercury and welcome to the forum. A '63 Colony Park is quite rare; they didn't sell that many new and few survive. Trim pieces unique to the Mercury may be hard to find; you might try LincolnLand in Florida. They mostly deal in Lincoln cars and parts, but the owner is especially fond of Mercury wagons, so he might be a good resource. Restored, I think your Colony Park could well hold its value of what you put into it.
Were you transporting it on I-69 Saturday? If so, I saw you But for some reason I thought it was a 1964...back to my Motor's book for a refresher course on Mercurys, apparently...
Welcome to the forums. You might want to check the following for parts: www.greensalescompany.com and www.lincolnoldparts.com I have had success with both in finding parts for my '67 Mercury Commuter wagon. Best of luck with the resto!
yup...thats a 64....so if the paperwork says 63...you gots some trouble gotta pic of the grill?? also..64 was the anniversary year. I own its twin....sans the wheels
sorry Yes after doing some research and running the tag numbers I realized I have a 64. I will make the appropriate changes to my info. Thanks for all your help.:2_thumbs_up_-_anima
