    Hi all,

I just stumbled onto this site today, and thought it was great!!! I am a wagon Guy and currently own 4, 1 71 Lemans Safari, 73 Lemans Safari factory 400 4-speed car, 78 Sunbird Safari that is basicly a Vega with a Pontiac header panel & interior, and a 83 Cutlass cruiser Daily driver.

The reason I was looking around the net for wagons, is that my wife has finally convinced me that the Cutlass is just not quite the correct car for us, it replaced the 77 Buick century wagon that was our Daily driver/dog hauler for years. She has several complaints about the basic design and seating position of the Cutlass, but what she hates the most is that it is Blue with a Blue interior!!!!!

So we are in the market for either a 73-77 GM Midsized wagon, or a 77-95 GM full sized wagon. The only requirements are that it must be a good driver, needing little mechanical work, decent looking, , and evidently it can't have a Blue interior.
An overdrive trans would be a plus, preferably no wood grain exterior (but not a must) Thanks for a great site!!!

You might try the Wanted thread as well! :Welcome:

Ask your wife if she wouldn't mind a Blue Jag convertible with blue leather seats to see if she means it. No. I don't have one. Just to test her arguments. :rofl2::D

Thanks for the welcomes, Lets see if my 1st attempt at posting pic's will work. I found a few shots of my 78 Sunbird wagon from this year, It is a well optioned car (for an H-body) with A/C pwr steering/brakes, 231 V-6, Automatic, 13" snowflake wheels, and delay wipers & AM/FM stereo. I have upgraded it with a 3.73 Posi axle, 200R4 Trans, and ported the later "high" port heads, added a 4bbl carb & intake, headers, and duel exaust. It now drives much better, and I am planning on rebuilding a 252 Buick V-6 to replace the stock 231 Buick.

The next couple of pic's are of my former daily driver, the pic's were actually taken last spring the day before it was broadsided by a drunk in a Ford SUV!! Brownie was a 77 Buick Century Wagon, Buick 350 4bbl, T-400 trans. Her only option was A/C that never worked when I owned her for 10 plus years. RIP Brownie I still many parts from her including very nice brown vinal seats, Rust free rear hatch ect..

Well the 1st time went OK, so now for my 73 Lemans. Pictured is the white 73 Lemans that is donating body parts to my 73 4-speed car. The 4-speed car was ordered with the GTO drive train, same 400 4bb, duel exhaust engine, M-20 4-speed, and 3.23 posi rear axle. The car has Pwr steering, brakes, windows, & locks, tilt wheel, A/C, rally guages, and rear window defogger. It was an Export Car special ordered (don't know by who) and delivered to Hamberg Germany. I don't know who the original owner was, or when it came back to the states, but it does have several diferent USAF parking stickers on the front bumper. It was found in a Salvage yard in TX by a friend of mine and saved from the crusher. Unfortunatlly it is the rusiest car I have ever tried to restore so it is taking awile. The poor unfortunate white doner car was a perfectly servicable low option Lemans wagon fron Nebraska. The last pic shows 1 of the many reasons I like wagons, 2 rescued Greyhounds fit with romm to spare!!!!
to see some shots of the Green wagon as purchased go to this site

    http://www.abodysite.com/frameentry.html

Click on readers rides on the top bar, and my wagon is about 1/3 of the way down on the far right side.

The other 2 shots are of my 83 Cutlass Cruiser as purchased last spring. 231 V-6 car, only options being A/C (not working) rear window defrost, delay wipers, Am/FM stereo. I have added 79 Hurst Olds wheel to it, and a 200R4 OD trans to it. I will add some pic's of it with the wheels, I think they make a world of differance on her.

I hop you enjoy the pic's

Looks like you've got some hefty projects on your hands. Keep them coming as you move along. (y)

Thanks! Not to be picky, but they stoped making Astre's in 77, and they kept only the wagon body style in production for 78 & 79 so they are Sunbird and Monza wagons in 78 and 79. (don't worry I didn't know that either until I stumbled on my 78 Sunbird wagon!!!!) Here are a couple of shots of my Cutlass wagon now in the for sale section also.

I just went to look at a 78 Chevy Impalla wagon that I would like to buy, but the cutlass has to go to make room for it!!!!

Hopefully some one will buy it. I like your LeMans wagon with the GT hood on it. I had a 75 LeMans GT for my first car.

I wish I could but right now I have too much on my table. Besides if I got one a 350 SBC would go in it.:banghead3:
