About a year ago my neighbour(Billy)was thinking about building a garage. He had two garden sheds that he was planning to scarp because they would be in the way.
Now I really don't remember saying anything but Billy had it in his head that I wanted one of this sheds. I came home from work last weekend and they wanted to know where we wanted to put it cause they are moving it in the morning??? It is a good thing that I had a chance to speak to them cause they were going to park it in my(mom's) driveway. So it was suggested(by one of the other wives) why couldn't it be placed at the end of the street until we where ready for it. We are the last two houses on the street, across from each other so who is there to complain about it? So there the shed sits.
This shed is 12x18 I could park my Fannie in it.:D Mom has been wanting a larger shed and her's is slowly deteriorating so now we have to make plans to get this shed into the yard. I made a couple of calls and we are getting gravel delievered later this week to put the new shed on.
This morning sis and I get busy empting the shed before hubby got home from work around 1:00ish Then he was going to take it apart and get rid of it somewhere??? But during the course of the morning after talking to Billy he and his friends make a few calls and found someone that wanted all his decking that he had also removed to make way for the garage but this guy also wants out old shed too, cool (y). So Billy made three trips to this guys house delievering the decking and our shed without any kind of compensation.

    What a neighbour. (y)

I had made a pretty cool video of them lifting the shed and getting stuck on the lawn. But I couldn't upload it here...so I can't show it too you... Oh well he got stuck but then he got out, take my word for it.

Good neighbors like that are irreplaceable. Just one great one makes up for all the other (unmentionables) in the neighborhood.

That's the truth. I am also betting for your neighbor to do that, he must also have a good neighbor in you. (y)

Geez Fannie, with all this stuff going on around the place how can you desert your neighbors and go away on a vacation:naughty:? Well, I guess you could take them................:rofl2:

Like you and Tedy we also have great neighbors. Not just wanting to help but pushing to help with projects and always extremely friendly. The only one in our little cul-de-sac who is not super friendly listed the house this week - much to our delight.

Darned saf57 you live on a little cul-de-sac. We did too in Illinois for 30 years. Only a city block long and we were at the left side end of it. Had block parties and most decorated for holidays. Mostly older people but sort of a mix. We loved that old quiet neighborhood.
This is only our third place in nearly 55 years together. Now we are on a 1/2 mile dead end dirt road with only five acre lots on one side. Sort of a cul-de-sac without the cul-de !!!!!!! Only now we are midway down the little dirt road with no reason to go to the dead end, non cul-de-sac, or simply a sac???????????
To keep the thread sort of on topic, the people on the far end bought a double wide moble home several years ago. Parked both halves for days at the end. Those things are like 70+ feet long!:)
Our very best neighbors are the Canadians next door. They are almost always in Canada! HA!

No cummutin to it if Rev bought the house near fannie and moved to the house near fannie's fannie and walked across the street to work on fannie's fannie with Mr fannie!~
Rev could even park his junk at the end of the road after they get that shed out of the way.
