I joined this site a while ago, and they're kind enough to auto-mail and tell me I haven't been around. Not being cynical, either. Anyway, there's a long list of cars and the mileage improvements each one is getting, cars and engines of all types. Some modded, some not. Stefan gave me that link some time ago, and they really do have good practical solutions to improving MPG: http://ecomodder.com/forum/emgarage.php Plus, there's a DIY on building your own Mileage monitor, lots on using Vacuum gauges correctly, industry updates, lemons, etc. http://ecomodder.com/
Not going there! I get in trouble everytime! But these are 4-stroke engines we're talkin' about, not a 2-stroke piston.
Ain't goin' there. I was watching Patrick Swayze's movie "Next of Kin" last evening, and wondering about all the industries that have shut down in that part of the USA. Tough stuff, these times. We've got whole towns shut down for our Lumber industry, and I know the Carolinas both produced a lot of Oak and Ash, plus all the veneer mills. I used to buy 2 truckloads a week of Carolina Oak and Ash for my clock factory in the early 1980's.
Furniture is almost completely closed down here so there is less wood being cut I know of 2 veneer plants closed up in the last 2 years
What about furniture factories? Are they down too? The furniture from Carolina factories were always top-end.
Dang it. The Hi-jack king struck on post #2! My 82 Cougar wagon is consistant 19 mpg around town. My 92 Ranger is consistant 21 with air cond on 22 without in summer. 23-24 in winter. 26-28 highway with air cond. on. My 92 Tbird gets 20 in town 26 highway. My wife has never shut off the air cond. It's temp controlled so all you select is the temp. It's obvious someone needs to create a UN-HI-JACK smiley.
How about a Hi-jacker's playpen? You're right, and we can't stay focussed. Whether I started the thread or not. It's hard to take a serious topic, seriously. Mea culpa.
