'96 Roadmaster in NH

Being sold by a scrapyard- it has been listed more than once, so I don't think it is in imminent danger.

I never see GM wagons on the road here- yet I was able to find these two for sale. Go figure.
This one is only about 20 minutes from me as well.

 

Any idea why it ended up at a scrap yard? I do like those cars....

 

I believe they get stuff from auctions, dealership back rows as well as people who just want to get rid of "an old car". I looked at a '73 Valiant there some time ago that was quite nice for $1000. They were nice enough to deal with as well.

 

My brother lives up in NH, so I asked him to check the car out for me. He called the number today, and the fellow he spoke with made it sound like the car has been gone for some time. The ad is only dated the 14th, though. It's too bad that more folks don't delete their ads once something sells.

EDIT: I thought the ad was from 2/14, but it's from 1/14! Again, I wish folks would delete them, otherwise we surfers assume the item is still available.

 

Yup...one of my pet peeves about CL. I've seen ads 6 months old or more. It's just plain rude to not remove the ad when the item is sold. You would think that when they keep getting responses to the ad that they would finally remove it!

 

I just love how they take the effort to mark SOLD in it or completely remove any info and just have SOLD in the body of the ad, instead of deleting the damn things. That, to me, is worse then leaving them up. Take the time to edit it, so just remove the damned thing.

 

The ads expire in 45 days on Craigslist, less time in some cities, so unless the seller reposts after it expires the original listing can't be six months old.
x2 on you'd think the sellers would delete the ad after the item's sold so people would stop inquiring about it, maybe the sellers are lonely??

 

Groan- sorry to hear it. I have had that happen to me more than once. I swear Craigslist should have a feature for buyers to inform them that the item has been sold, so the company itself can delete the ad's since SO many people seem to be inconsiderate like that.
