Naa, Normy is more of a Folger's with cream and sugar type guy.
I think his 20,000+ post-whoring count is the reason he's not on here much these days.

He roasts his own beans! That is awesome! How does he do it/ what is his technique? I only ask because Zoe and I have been wanting to do that for years.

First you need to buy a place with a mountain and grow your own. I've never heard of Missouri grown coffee. Then you need Zoe to weed, water, and pick the beans. After that it's just a matter of loading them on your mule and taking them to the house. You can roast them on your charcoal grille along with your burgers. :rofl2:
Or go to the drive thru and say "gimme a cup of coffee." :coffee:

Our local hippy foods store [which, to be honest, is where we do about a third of our shopping] sells green coffee beans. We have thought about getting some and roasting them on the grill but it has been to warm to grill most of the year. We grill mostly in the winter. A little weird I know but it is what we like and we have been doing that since we met. I didn't know that you could buy a roasting machine for your home. About how much do they cost. A limb or is enough to cost a first born? :biglaugh:

I remember shopping at Krogers years ago. They had a grinder and beans of different blends to grind your own right in the stores. But they were already roasted.
This is the first I've heard of anyone roasting their own coffee beans. My question is WHY ? I know a lot of people love to start from scratch on foods but to me that's a lot of time and work for a lousy cup of mud that I actually hate anyway.:drink:
I get grouchy when I don't have my coffee. Does it show!

I'm with Cat, just give me something that tastes mostly like coffee and I'm happy. All this fuss is just too much time. Oh by the way my coffee maker broke this morning pissed out about 1/3 of cold coffee and sh*t the bed.

I had my morning cup now i'm sippin unsweetened iced tea. Should I mention it's my birthday? We had plans to go out but I got lazy. So here we sit. No dancing girls, gifts, or free cars to greet me.
As someone once sang "another day older and deeper in debt.":rofl2:
