    Sounds like an interesting sojurn......

I think you've got the area pegged pretty good, although I'm not sure you're correct in your assumption that the stream shown in picture would be marked on a map - maybe only a local one.

I travel the roads to the coast a lot - 20, 126, 38, 42... not so much further north. Seems a lot more moss than what I see off those highways, so my guess is further north. Also, have ruled out this being somewhere in Washington?

:slap:I don't know! I just read things here and there. I hope the yard or junk is still there. Be great for some car guys just to find it and get more pictures.
It ain't King Tuts tomb but more exciting.
At least it would be easier to find than 206 ?

Marshal, I have NOT written off Washington at all. But considering that the license plates I counted were 3 Oregon and 1 Washington. Then there is the truck with the name and number on the door being also an Oregon vehicle. 'Occams Razor' suggests Oregon! (Wish I could read what was on the side of that School Bus!)

I have not traveled every road in Oregon but have traveled through the Van Duzer corridor on HWY 18 along the Salmon River many times. The look and feel is exactly what I see in the background of those pictures, if a bit more hilly. Moss, ferns, a few old growth with a mix of other species of bushes, shrubs and ground cover suggest it being in a rain forest of the pacific northwest on the west side of the coast range. As for streams... there are for example 22 that feed the Salmon River along the Van Duzer and any one of THESE could possibly be the stream/river we see in the background. A quick look at google map shows them all marked even if not all are named. And that is just a small 5 mile section !

This is all just dead reckoning and I could be wrong of course.
Need more information to get any closer as it is a bit like finding a watch gear tossed randomly onto a soccer field.

I thought I have been? Check out the maps I posted yesterday. That is the general area. Can't narrow it down any more until I have more information.
But, you can help. Go back and study the pictures again. This time, don't look at the cars! Instead, study the background for details. I just noticed (And I should be working...) the powerlines are really thick and seem to run through an open area such as a cleared road bed. Most powerlines of that size have some sort of road for the power co. to inspect when a line goes down. I bet the cars might be visible from the road if one looks carefully!

Has anyone checked to see if the photos are geotagged?

The guy is a professional photographer. Doubt they were taken with a phone camera... but I wouldn't even begin to know how to read a 'geo-tag' to be begin with.

Okay, already spent too much time on this. But here is my idea of the property layout.

With a lot more time I think I could map out most of the vehicles based on the position of their neighbors. But that wouldn't help much. My thought is that there is a road with powerlines running next to it. This is a public country road.
See the road in the background through the bushes under the powerlines?

The above photo I believe was taken at this angle.

Then this picture shows the powerlines from a much higher vantage point suggesting a hillside on the property.

This photo, also showing the clear hillside, could be shooting toward a clearing and not the road since the background is light and not dark.
Dark would suggest more trees... light says a clearing and while could be the road... I think it was shot the other direction.

Here is the clearing. In the background that could be the edge of a creek or even the gravel drive of the property.

Both caddy's might be shot like this and would be visible via google map!

    Respectfully submitted,

Wow X-man, you found two other people who have been to the same location. One of the respondents mentioned the cars being crushed last year so... I guess the search is over. Thank you and.... it was not a total loss. I have decided to add Molly Hatchet to my 8-track collection!

Without thinking, I made notes from a map next to that album. I came to the conclusion this was in Germany, forgetting about the license plates. This is what happens after too much searcing and staring at moss covered cars.
No matter, the album is dated Aug 2008. Nature could have eaten all those vehicles by now or a Wal-Mart may be in that spot!

 Mates. Glad I could help, for what I did, and now I am off to pick Zoe up from work. And Thank You Jairus. Believe it or not I would not have found what I had had you not done the work you did with the maps.
