Planes, Trains, and Automobiles - one of my favorite movies ever. I got a harmonic balancer puller, some other little tools, a t-shirt, a beard trimmer, a Trivial Pursuit 80s edition game. We started doing Christmas over a week ago since that's when my daughter was here. Then just a little here and there depending on who was around at the time. Also most everybody has been sick during the week so we've been doing what we can. Got a call xmas afternoon from the wife's daughter that the car started making a lot of noise and smoke. I expected the worst, but when we got there it ended up being about the easiest possible problem, the exhaust had broken and dropped. The road was a mess and somebody spun out into the ditch only about 500 ft in front of her. So I drove it home dragging thru the snow and I'll work on it this week.
Spent Xmas eve with #2, GF and baby Harley. He got his first tooth and can, with the help of a couple of cushions, almost sit by himself. My mom, daughter, hubby and I did gifts and breakfast together. Fannie and I got... brake pads brake drums wheel cylinders and lines. Tickets to see Paul Brandt( I've got a date in February ) New purse and cosmetic bag...still a girl after all... Funny bit...the Boys and Girls Club here sells Travel Lotto tickets, so I got one for Hubby...he got one for me Sis, #1 and GF came for supper...great day with the family.
X3 that's a great movie. Anthony Hopkins as a cool old guy rather than a bloodthirsty maniac. I got a reloading kit! :2_thumbs_up_-_anima And one of those self-resetting .22LR target stands. :Blasting_anim: Which have nothing to do with each other, really.
From my parents: Lands' End jacket to replace the one they bought me 8 years ago that was finally too small for my expanding belly (gotta thank the wife for that...mmm mmm good!), a blue sweatshirt, a wallet with a crisp $20 in it, and a nice card. From my wife's mother: thick comfy socks, package of shop cloths (the red ones), package of blue paper shop towels, Meguiar's detail set, gray steering wheel cover (which I have tried for 2 days to put in the minivan but it's just too small, might have to exchange for something else, but will miss it, it's got that stress relief gel in it and when you're driving a minivan you need all the help you can get) From my wife: well, the minivan, but that's an early "go ahead and get it" gift from October because she got an iPhone 4S. And then she got me some of those chocolate covered cherries I like, a stocking full of candy and goodies, and I also got her Blackberry Playbook since she likes her Kindle Fire better (and that's good because I also got her old Blackberry when she got the iPhone so at least those two things match now), and there was something else, oh yeah, Steelers goodies in the form of a hat, gloves, AND slippers. So once I don that stuff and my sweatshirt, throw my Terrible Towel over my shoulder, and put on my yellow sweatpants, I am ULTIMATE FAN again and that will rock. Um...I also got an orange t-shirt from the stepdaughter that hates me, the stepdaughter that doesn't hate me got me some chocolate goodies, the other kids chipped in for accessories for the Playbook as well as some T-shirts and socks, and all is well. I got my wife a few things as well, in fact I got her a lot of stuff, but when it came down to it I handed some of my gifts down for the kids to give to her, but I saved the best thing for me to give, cause well, we've been married nearly 7 years and our first rings were the little $10 bands from Wal-Mart and since then it's been real tough but we've stuck it out and made good on a lot of things and even though it's not our 10th I thought she needed something to show for it. I did some shopping and couldn't really find something so she made a few comments here and there in the mall and then when she was out shopping with her older daughters (my stepdaughters) they called and told me they put one on hold that she had gushed over and I went to pick it up and it was perfect and now she has it and for our 10th I'll have to figure out something else because she pretty much has the perfect ring now. Just so happy she's happy with it (although I have to steal it back and have it resized, fits her pinky but not her ring finger).
