I got a new hoodie and gloves (seen in pic below), a new coffee mug for driving, and sewing machine, sewing by hand can be tedious... Yes I sew. Zoe and I had matching red and green nail polish. We ate duck slowly roasted with a molasses orange sauce and roasted asparagus pilaf. We watched several episodes of Roseanne and topped the evening off with a glass of wine and the Doctor Who Christmas Special. How about you.?.
Piece in the house! My Honey....Socks, undies, old truck calender, My Sister... ka-zillion candle power rechargable flash lite My Dad... A cheque for me and my honey...a cheque that was given to 'us", but given to my honey...for "us".......I still have yet to see this or know it's amount:banghead3:......... I'll most likely never know My Daughter... she got me a nice winter coat for work also:banana: Edit.... "X", I have to ask....why do you have lawn furniture in the bath tub?
so was the check in Lats? or canadian dollars? lol watch your wifes surprise when it comes out to be $5 canadian. that reminds me...were you born in canada or latvia? i was gonna ask him the same thing. it actually gives me an idea for that "hot, long after work shower!"
Oh it isn't mine. My landlord/roommate is wheelchair bound and even though he has a shower chair he leaves it on the front porch and keeps the lawn chair in the tub. Not that he uses it. To the best of my knowledge he has had only 2 baths since we moved in... I know! I have to clean the toilet as much as twice a day just so that me and Z can use it. I can't wait till we have our own place again and my own toilet to clean.
1. Knitted cap - hand-made by my daughter. She made all her gifts this year. 2. CD's - Grateful Dead (my first one, believe it or not); and Pink Floyd 3. Pullover long-sleeve shirt 4. Set of watchet wenches, SAE 5. 2 plastic storage boxes for hardware - with locking tops 6. Novel - in actual 'book' form - Steven King's '11-22-63'
KK, whenever you're done reading '11-22-63' let me know what you thought of it if you could please. My wife likes Steven King.
Two DVD's, The hangover and Plains, Trains and Automobiles. Two of my all time favorites. My beautiful wife took my copy of Gumball Rally on VHS and had it transferred to DVD, she is so awesome! Gumball Rally is very lame (dialog, music and script etc...) by todays movie standards, but I just love the sound of a 12 cylinder Ferrari Spider going by at 160 mph. Just sounds killer.
Nothing to do with Christmas gifts---But when I got each hip replaced I bought a nice sturdy tub chair that looks like a heavy duty lawn chair for the tub/shower. We have tubs in each bathroom with the shower head also so I can either sit or stand in the tub now and take a shower. Haven't needed it for over a year but it comes in handy when I am lazy and want to sit and think while I shower. That is often! Got mine at Walgreens but many prescription labs and medical supply places have them. Now if I could figure how to make our massage chair recliner with heat and vibraters waterproof I could really relax while taking a shower! And maybe make a laptop that's waterproof I could just move into the shower/tub. Could maybe put a small refridgerator on the toilet and a microwave on it!
I got my candlestick phone I posted a pic of elsewhere. Cutting board, knives, knife sharpener (my sister felt my kitchen was lacking) iTunes gift card New shirts, socks, underwear, v-necks Collectible Coke bottles Sideburn trimmer A very good Christmas!
Let me guess, when you're using them, the wife hollers, "Watchet!!" and everyone runs for cover. For me, one surprise was a large blanket (or maybe you call it a tapestry), with four photos of me behind the wheel of four of my cars (Coronet vert and hardtop, white Barracuda fastback, and my pick up truck). Not sure where I'll hang it up. It will take alot of wall space. I also got a few DVDs I had been kind of been in search of for a while. Apparently, my niece had taken notes at some point when I must have mentioned a few titles I was looking for. One was "The Fastest Indian", a true story about an elderly New Zealander who brought his 1920 Indian motorcyle to America in the late 50's or early 60's to run at Bonneville and he ended up breaking records. Theres a 63 Colony Park wagon in a few scenes in the movie, but theres also am early 70's documentary about the guy in the Special Features secion of the film. In the documentary, a 1960 Chevy wagon is shown alot towing the motorcycle.
