I should be able to match the MPG in mine when I'm done with the Advance Curve Kit and even more with just straight water injection. I think its an ALV (airport luggage vehicle). You'd have a hard time loading it up with a few fence boards or patio stones, etc.

Definitely not a wagon. A simple hatchback.

Maybe we should have a specification for the length of the cargo area behind the rear wheel for it to be a wagon! How about at least three feet from the rear wheel to the bumper:

So the Fairmont Futura has a long future ahead?:)

Looking at the new one, I wonder if that rear dip in the roof actually makes it more aero-dynamic/efficient.

:D (y) Ain't that the truth!!! The conflict he'll have now will be to resist "Ricing up the 'mont". Paddle shifter on the wheel, really. Peg legs, keep the faith, bro. Don't rice it up too much with electronic sensors. Radios, speakers, ok, but KISS on the other stuff .

This is what I think. I think the Fit is a wagon as is the Mazda 3 five door and others of that configuration.

So if there's interior storage and no trunk and the roof extends to the rear then it's a wagon.

So its a good Fit? I just don't see me buying a new car again. I lost interest when the bubble-gum round fendered cartoon models started coming out. Look at any of the Bonneville highspeed machines or this current Solar Car race from Texas to Canada, and you don't see chewed bubble-gum shapes.

And after seeing so many of the plastic bumper covers broken off and all the delicate vacuum motors and circuitry under there, for sure I wouldn't buy one. In our snow-laden country a small car loses in a snow-drift, never mind a head-on or side-swipe.

Besides, I like what I can fix (Fix Or Repair Daily) :yahoo: I'm back to that Tinkering Age. Ain't life great!;)
