It also makes my car Euro as F%$# :D

Even with bad reflectors, the light output is so much better than the crappy US-spec lights it's not even funny. The low-beams have a sharp cutoff and do not glare at all. Below that line is broad daylight. The brights throw pretty far - and there are FOUR of them!

A before pic for reference, with the US lights (and my old grille that got crunched when someone hit-'n-run me in a parking lot):

They look so much better even with the lights off. I like how the Alabama flag is incorporated on your "European" plate.

now all we need is a night time demo. They look very nice esp. with the new, equally
    better looking grille.

"Allows us to see at night"?
I don't see a thing better unless you want to come here and drive in front of me at night?:)
If you want your car to look more Eeewro don't shave it's legs and armpits and put shades on the upper half of the lights, the people all look half asleep over there, quickest way to spot one.:biglaugh:

While the VeeDub fanboiz like to call those silly eyelids "euro" they're not actually Euro, they're just silly. ;) And the no-shaving nonsense is primarily a France thing, so I've heard.

So, did I miss what lights they actually are? And that parking lot on the hill has to be tough for shopping carts! :)

Indeed the European lighting was always much better than the US.
"light years ahead of its time" so to speak,LOL
I could never understand why it was never allowed in the US for many years.
All the US cars of the 60's and 70's had crappy sealed beam lighting systems while others across the pond were enjoying high quality bright lighting systems by Marchall,Cibie,Hella and Carello with H4,H1 bulbs.

I upgraded my 73 Waygun with vintage Carello housings with H4 bulbs for the low beams, and Hella housings with H1 bulbs for the high beams.I use PIAA bulbs and a 100W wiring harness with two relays.
Park lamps and sidemarkers are barrel type LED bulbs.
    Bright eh?

I had Hella H4/H1 retrofits in my '89 744 turbo.

I could've gone with OEM Euro-spec lights for that car for not a whole lot more than I paid for the Hellas, but I really liked the look of the US front clip on that car so I wanted to keep it but still have better lighting.

May not have been a wagon, but I sure miss it sometimes.

I was a bit too close to the wall when I took that pic. I may go out again tonight and get one from a little farther away.

    Nice improvement, form and function.

Aircraft landing lights were my solution when U.S. cars had sealed beams. High beams only of course.
