-----:naughty:-----Wasn't me........Must have been one of those other guys. I was the one who said DON'T BUY THAT PIECE OF CRAP!-----:2_thumbs_up_-_anima-----On another note, -Xavier, good luck on your station wagon adventures. Just don't rush into any deals that sound too good to be true. Unless silverfox says it's okay!

Well.....the Jefferson show/swap is this weekend and I was thinking of going tomorrow. It is close to where the wagon in question is so I went to look up the zip in the ad again and....guess what....the ad has expired. Do you know if it's still available, Xav??

Well, I actually don't know. It could be because the seller just wasn't paying attention to it or maybe he let it run out because he agreed to hold it till we made our final decision and even then it would have to wait till our car sold IF we are going to buy it. Soooo I don't know. If he has sold it... oh well.

I have his number so I will try to call him later on today.

Ok, he allowed the ad to expire because he is holding it for me and figured what is the point since this might take a while and he is in no hurry to sell it. He knew that Ross was supposed to come and see it yesterday but didn't know why nothing happened. I told him and he is OK with that. Soooo...

That's a bummer that no one told him that Ross was going to be a no show. At least he seems like he's OK with it. So....what did you tell him? Is Ross still on the schedule when he's feeling better? Hope Ross doesn't have anything serious, by the way.

Well, I hope it is OK for me to say but Ross had a big surgery a few weeks ago or so and he has already had to go back to the hospital once because of a fever and he has another fever again... Mind you I didn't know this till yesterday. The seller is cool with this. Don't know how long Ross will be down for but like I said earlier, it is just a car and not worth risking some one's health over. There isn't a car in existence that is worth risking one's health for. Well, for what it is worth, the wagon is, and has been for over a year now, garaged.

When talking to him on the phone the seller does seem like a nice guy...

Whoa! Bummer, Ross....a fever after surgery is not a good thing. Here's hoping things clear up and you are back on your feet SOON!:thumbs2:

Ross, best wishes to you from me to get better soon and that your surgery results in a huge success. Take care of yourself, friend.
You're quite right, X, no car is worth risking one's health over, that's for sure. I guess there's no other member that lives close enough to take a look for you. SF, 3 1/2 hours away seems too far, no? (As I recall, that's how long it would take you to get there, right?) Hang in there for the mean time, X, and we'll keep our eyes and ears peeled for you.

Well....I go to Jefferson with a friend but he doesn't know if he can make it this Fall. If I DO go to the show I will likely go see the wagon. It isn't really IN Chicago. I looked up the zip and it is west & south of Chicago near the Wisconsin border. I would be reasonably close to the car if I go to the show/swap meet in Jefferson. If I decide to go I will get the guy's phone number from Xav and see if we can arrange a meet.
Does anyone still have that ZIP that was in the ad?? I need to see the distance and route from Jefferson. If no one has it....call him up and get the actual town, Xav. And find out if he will be around tomorrow just in case.
