A hand off....Ross brings it closer to me and I bring it closer to you. It requires bringing another driver to bring another car to get back in.

Now it sounds like a drug deal. What's in the cargo area of the wagon? :)
I like the look of this wagon though. But even seeing the engine compartment shows that it has been sitting for that year and the general moisture in the air has been affecting metal. At least you know there are other cars out there that will have the look you want.

SF, everyone here appreciates your keen eye. I do. SF helped me look at some wagons via images and even hearing what was wrong just by looking helped me purchase my wagon. I was able to see the things that I didn't even look at before. Most of all he saved me from myself a couple of times.
Now I have this sweet wagon that is gonna cost a pretty penny to get perfect for my wife. If it was just a resto my wagon doesn't have far to go. Thanks SF.

That's very nice of you, Mr. I appreciate your kind words. I always try to give people the benefit of my experience but, most of all, I just enjoy cars and I enjoy helping people if they want help and if I'm able to give it. I enjoyed our long discussions in the PM's and I am very happy that you got what you wanted. Good luck and I hope that you and your wife enjoy your wagon for many years.

Well, being realistic is beginning to overcome emotion... I talked to Ross earlier and he is going to inspect it tomorrow and call and tell me the news. It is probably going to be news that I don't want to hear but I am still hopeful. So anyways as it stands now it is obvious what I really want, Mercury Grand Marquis/ Colony Park Station Wagon, preferably black, wood grain optional, trailer hitch is a major bonus but not required, third row seat is a bonus... sooooo... I hate waiting.

X, do not despair. Wait till you hear back from Ross and then make your decision. There's a saying, "Good things come to he who waits" and maybe that's applicable here. Good luck. I'm eager to hear what Ross has to say about it. I do hope it's good news because it's obvious how psyched you and your wife are about it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

    1982 Mercury Grand Marquis Wagon

Hello to all. I'm writing from Gloucester, MA. I'm on my way up to the White Mountains of NH this weekend - Wondering if anyone has had a chance to view the Grand Marquis Wagon located in Littleton ( The northern part of the White Mountains) ? The car is pictured here on the forum page. I'm at least three hours away and although I'll be in the vicinity I'd still like opinions thrown my way.

    Thanks,

    Mike

If the pic appeared at the top of the page it means that it is likely in the Gallery section. The pix at the top rotate so we don't know which car you are referring to.
By the way, fab4....post up an intro in the Welcome Wagon section so we can get to know you. [IMG]

Hopefully never. It IS fun to find cars and disect them here. I'll bet the ex-owners would be surprised at how well their old car is being examined. We probably find things on the cars that they never knew existed.:D

I agree silverfox. Even though we may joke around, I believe many of us are actually helping make good choices..hopefully preventing bad ones. :clap:And when a member gets a great car after all of the other member assistance, we get the credit. Also we get the blame when they bought a lemon! Takes the burdon off them when their wives ask what were they thinking!:slap:

:sorry: I'm sorry. Ross wasn't able to go and look at it because he was sick. He apologized and I told him not to worry about it, that it was just a car and that he needs to focus on his health first. So the info is going to have to wait a bit longer.

You know, I feel I must say, all of you here on the forum have been so welcoming and helpful to me and my wife. There have been posts about wagons for sale and mechanical advice and even just humour. My wife doesn't get on here but we always talk about what happens (for the most part) as it is a regular part of my day, but we both feel like we are a part of a family with this forum. The Station Wagon Forums have become a permanent part of our lives and our home and our hearts. From both my wife and me we say Thank You and hope that some day we will be able to be just as helpful to you as you have been to us. So to the Forum and the amazing machines called Station Wagons  :thumbs2: :beerchug: :cheers2: :Handshake:
