well...my annual trek to Monroe washington for the BIG swap meet was a bust...I GOTS NUTTIN...well sorta the only wagon i didnt take a pic of ...is the 1 i'll probably end up buying..a 1966 mercury Commuter!!..all original...pretty decent!!...and a really good price!!..(just dont need it) anyhoo...there was few Wags 4 sale...some silly pricing tho so heres some 'typical Rev' bad pics to paruse ..starting with the parking lot..my buddy Tonys Merc, then a rusty old survivor, then a guy i chatted with, he's had the Kingswood for 11 yrs.. (told him bout us) Now we head into the swap meet 6500$...? sold for 1000. 24,000. 15,500???????..dont think so Bob 55 Mopar suburban...very cool..25,000. this 1 was there last year,same gal, same price, same results,No Sale! 6900..not bad at all 15,500...not even close and the best freekin deal there was this Matador...it was MINT!!...and only 1850 asking...i had to fight this urge
By the Lawd Liftin' bye, I's proud of ya!! What discipline!!! I'd have a hard time walkin' away from that Matador, too.
It's the Drool factor that bumps it up! I was just reading a local article that dealers are even taking SUV's on trade-in for new vehicles. Nobody is buying them. The same article goes on to say that USED stationwagon prices are rising! You compare a decent mid-sized wagon in mint, restored condition and you'd likely get your investment cost back out. Sweat Equity not included. I love mine. She's a keeper. If I can get another from down Mexico way, I'd do it again. They go for $200 (parts car) to $10,000 restored. Yours? The cost of a hybrid.
