Hi Fannie, are you sure it's a wagon? You can't hardly say yes when looking at your pict, but I can even tell you the year if I look at the files name :D

Yup....the pic in #612 & #614 is a Chrysler Barrel Back Station Wagon. IIRC, they only made them in 1941.

No one has guessed fannie's yet but she is at work today....go ahead Barto. Fannie won't mind. We should try to get fannies sometime, though. I know what it is.

It's extra small but it's truly an estate

Before I saw your text under the pic I was going say....THAT'S a WAGON??:rofl2: Estate, eh? That's pushing it. At least compared to, say, a 70's Chrysler T&C.:rofl2:
I'm not saying it's small but......Did that fall out of someones pocket?:rofl2:

Hey Fox, you point a real difference between Europe and the US during the 50's and 60's. American cars were large barge and European cars were mostly tiny skiff. Remember after WW2 Europe was completely destroyed with people in some country nearly out of money. So small cars (but useable) were very popular.

This one guess wagon was a family car, the wagon version from a saloon which was also supplied as a convertible, as a roadster and as a van, making a full range. I'm quite sure you could load it in some of yours big pick-up.

    Here is the saloon

And here is the roadster (with a typical American name)

Size of the saloon was 3m length x 1.3m width (accomodating 4 peoples)

Yes....I'm old enough to remember some of those cars, Barto. I don't recall this one, though. It will be tough to guess...it looks pretty generic. :D

The car maker disappeared in the 80's.

It's funny, but in cities like Paris were parking is very difficult, these cars are still popular and valued. You'll have to pay 5 to 10.000 € to buy a very nice one (to decorate your pick-up)

I have no idea what that car is. There are so MANY Euro cars that I have never seen or never heard of. The tail lights on this one almost look like an MG. Or a Simca.
Hell ya, I'm fishing. It's my only hope!:biglaugh:

I have ERTL metal cars on my bookshelves that are bigger than that little duster, Barto :rofl2:
