"Getting"? It's been out of hand for a long time! But... relatively cheap in KC, "only" $3.09!

Yeah, I'm going to add Water Injection to my little I6 for warm-weather use, at least. We get way too cold in the winter to use it (-58F), but for 7 months. It's a big savings until I figure out a safer way to use Hydrogen-on-the-fly (passing a voltage through water to reconfigure H20).

    Here's a tool I use here:

    In my City - $1.10/per liter $4.40/USGallon :( :

    US$ 9.20 per USGallon

As soon as I finished the repaint and build-up of the 73 Riviera (and after that saved a few $$$) I really need a LPG-conversion for the Wagon.

Here we are whining about gasoline. Did you notice RivGS? $9.20! Yes they tax higher there.

Here it's $3.57 (average) for regular
    $4.10 for diesel.

Oh well. We all can stop buying it. Or not.

There indeed is a lot of tax within that price..... Taxes here are feeling like being robbed: sales tax (average in the USA 6% (?)) here you pay 19% (in a few months from now it will be 20% :Blasting_anim:

I can't recall when the switched to Metric gas pricing. $X.XX / Litre, but you have figure it was a slick trick. When it gets over $10, they'll probably go back to CUPS. Then they'll have a whole new variety of choices, 5 oz french coffee cup, 8 oz coffee cup, Starbuck's Max cup.

Here, we've got ice-melting wire in the eavestroughs, so all we have to do is figure out how to make enough Ethanol alcohol to mix with the rainwater to use water injection. Or use the rainwater to make our own hydrogen fuel generator for the house, and fill up a canister (15 lbs pressure MAX) and fill up the car. Maybe $2,000 to set it up. House hydro for free, and fuel for the car (at least city driving.)

Ethanol making is a pain. You have to handle the waste products, and that's either expensive or dangerous. Water injection needs alcohol even in warm weather to help the combustion process. In cold weather, you'd go up to 50%, 20% in warm weather.

That's why I will have a LPG conversion.... LPG here costs .60/ltr (do the math) The conversion itself about $1800. So within a few years it wil pay off (with 8mls/gallon (do the math again :) ) probably sooner.
I will add some photos of the LPG-conversion on this board once installed.

Where will you put the tank?
I'd seriously consider it too, but it would probably require some kind of custom tank setup replacing the stock one. And you'd want it to be able to run on gas as well, if necessary.
    :hmmm:

    Here's a site that is locale-specific.
    Probably available in your area.
I only buy Shell premium so I have to pay...
It's the only gas here, as far as I can determine, that doesn't contain ethanol.

What's so bad with ethanol? Unless it's over 5% it won't cause any problems with older cars. I've heard that older cars tolerate up to 10% well with no ill effects on gaskets and seals.
