Wow! Here's a stroll down memory lane. Thank goodness that folks are passionate enough to collect these kinds of bits of Automotive History and put them up for all to see!

It's a Biker's site, but all about the olde gas stations not motorcycles. These pics are so good. :)

I recognize one that we stopped at when we moved from Mexico, nice people. It's near Waco, TX on State Hwy 281.:)

I think I saw those on my way North from Mexico. They didn't look as pretty, then. :)

Man, as an Esso dealer with those pumps, you'd be pumping water like the folks in Churchill, MB!

Or sell golf balls, tennis balls, or bubble gum - big ones! :biglaugh:

There use to be a Shell Station in Winston-Salem,NC in shape of a clam shell like the yellow one except it was white. I hate to say it has been torn down for a few years in the name of progress.

    New to Group

I, too, live near these great old gas stations. The airplane service station, in fact, is arguably the only architecturally significant structure in North Knox County.

I stumbled upon this group by accident, but, apparently, not for the first time; it seems I was already a member. But, since I’ve REdiscovered it, anybody know where I can get inside rear door handle for ’77 Impala wagon?

So, count...how did you fill out the profile and get in here without giving any car or other pertinent info? This is a new one on me. Your "statistics" is virtually blank???
