Yeah, I was thinking I'd do a two-day detour out your way.

I know bigger diameters would let the rubber last longer, but the P*n*s Envy is something I got over in Basic Training. :biglaugh:

I know how you feel. On our move up through Laredo, TX, from Guadalajara, MX, we tried hominy grits in small truckstop. Loved them. The further North we got up to Canada, we kept asking for them, and got them up to South Dakota. None. 6 days of a having many different meals, in small and large roadside stops, and then we got typical Northern meals. :(

Then, we get here and I ask where I can find Maple Syrup. It used to be in every grocery store. I have to go to the Duty-Free shop at the friggin' airport. The real insult is that my Province is the 3rd biggest producer. :( :(

I gotta get back in the kitchen and make up some of my French Canadian meals. I got so used to my wife's Mexican cookin', that I got lazy. :( You guys are both makin' me hungry. I was laying out the summer garden plan today. We always grow 4 or 5 types of tomatoes, spices, some Okra too, and cukes and lettuce. Last year we grew the Fairmont. This year, the groceries. :D

Kinda funny ya know. When we lived in Guadalajara, you could walk down the street and sit down at a little mom & pop outdoor cafe and eat all kinds of Mexican food (which we did a lot!), and then go another block and have the best darn hamburgers I've ever eaten. But you'd be hard-pressed to find a US burger franchise anywhere. The one A&W we saw had been closed for years. The MacDonalds were really small and barely any customers. No Burger King, and even the rare KFC wasn't all that busy.

But go to a sit-down upscale restaurant and all you could find was American meals (Northern US, no Southern food).

We got invited to my wife's best girlfriend's wedding. Never had goat in my life, but her dad had two manual rotisseries roasting 4 goats for the dinner (outdoor wedding). Yummy? Oh man, pure yummy. I was gonna say pigout, but these were so much better. mmmmm - I still taste it. Goat goes real good with 60-proof Tequila. Good thing it was close to the house! :D I never wobbled, but I couldn't have driven a baby carriage that night. :biglaugh:

Ok, instead of talking about stomach bloated tire size, and how to get there, let's get back to wheels and tires. Thanks Rev. The menus were so good, though.

I guess big tires would last longer driving to Mexican restaurants and some of that good Southern food. Just leave Aligator bacon (New Orleans specialty) alone. Too fishy. :D

Do the new low-profile tires add any real safety margin for heavy vehicles? I guess they're available from 15" and up, right?
