If tire height is low, then you have more steering control. Logical to me. What I don't get is this fad with big wheels on small cars, and the new craze to retro-fit them on the older cars.

I get that cast wheels (Aluminum/Magnesium) don't flex like a stamped steel wheel, but at normal road speeds, I don't see a plus.

On a 4,000 plus wagon with a moderate decent Center Of Gravity, rolling over is a pretty tough thing to do, on a turn.

Are these large diameter wheels and low profile tires just 'eye-candy' on a hefty car, or do they really add more sure-footedness to it?

    What am I missing?

Yeah, but it comes with a lifetime warranty! :biglaugh: :biglaugh:

So it adds no real safety value to the vehicle, unless it's some featherweight rice-rocket rollerskate? :hide:

Round, not long! Wheels are round. Roads are long or short. Besides, I always heard that its not the meat, its the motion! :biglaugh:

Is the wife watching? (Trouble coming soon!)

So when are you guys moving? We've got a couple more weeks of winter, but then I'm going like a blue-a$$ed fly to get the car done, and started on my outdoor projects.

I came up with a new project (not car related) that we're gonna add to our product line. That's what I'm doing right now. One retailer is really excited about it, and I think others will be too. I'm filing a patent application next month. But I'll produce a junior version in the meanwhile to pay for the legal costs. Gonna be a great year!

Let's see, I cut across to Saskatchewan, down through Montana, and one more state to NV. About 4 days. Not bad. We'll see how it goes, but it would be great to get together. I could brush up on my Southern. :D

We almost always end our questions with 'Eh?' It's a Canadian trademark of the way we talk.
