1976 Mercury Montego Mx

We had one from 1975 to 1982 and it was time to have another one. I picked this one up locally in the Boston area with 68k miles. It belonged to a private collection and stored indoors for many of its years.

It took me almost 8 years to find, as these Montego’s are hard to come by. It is the same model and trim as the one we had 44 years ago. The few differences include: no ac, no 3rd row seat, electric rear window, and exterior color (ours was yellow). I feel very fortunate to had found this wagon. My plan is to preserve/restore it to as close to original as reasonable.
