Everyone in the car hobby thinks their stuff/cars are special. I don't know about Canada but everything south of the border seems to have become "collector" or "classic" lately. Any time now the 86 Hyundia will be a collectable classic Korean car and will be selling for at least $800 . There are already clubs for Yugos and even the FOX body Fords are developing a following. (like me). I personally think the big televised auctions have done a great disservice to the hobbyist. Also the folks selling at swap meets generally do their homework and know what is hard to get and they price accordingly. In my area the three major salvage yards cannot crush cars fast enough. I guess steel has shot up in price lately. I know of at least one steel plant in the US rustbelt area has reopened after being shut down 20 years ago. However, I like going to shows and looking at what folks are doing. Definately a great place to get ideas.:2_thumbs_up_-_anima
