You guys in the South have weather issues, I know. But almost 5 months of Hell being frozen over really takes a toll. From mid-November to today, and snow on the ground till possibly June 5. This winter was a drag. Must be gettin' old(er).

I woke up this morning dreaming of a mechanical way of making one of those 'restonic' flexible beds, and debating the pros and cons of our Kingsize bed. Now that's pretty bad. I usually have better invention dreams.

Andy offered to go do a JY run today, tongue in cheek. 40 MPH winds and blowing snow really help to keep your tongue inside. :biglaugh:

Is that 'under way' or 'way under' the snow? Oh, right, you've got that shop to work in. I'm jealous. :taz: :thumbs2:

My dad told my 3 sisters that he'd pay them to elope. He'd save a bundle, he said!

With mom being in the Bridal Gown business, that was a non-starter. He paid, she Paid! He said. :rofl2:

I'm really cranky today. Hormones. I just can't find one good thing to say about our recent decline in moral backbone within the ranks of our RCMP, from the top Commissioner down to guys who zapped that polish fellow in Vancouver Airport. I won't rant here. But my gramps was a Northwest Mountie, and I'm so glad he's not around to watch this disgraceful, disgusting mess. Please note that I'm not ranting. I did that on our news media blogs. I'm ticked with myself for getting so Stormy about it. Like just within the legal limits, just.

It used to be that when a Mounty approached you, you were either glad to see him and proud that he would or you'd just freeze out of fear. This new crew are nowhere near the calibre of National Police we could be proud of, and they keep trying to lie their way past their screwups. Nuff said.

I've been reading about all your possible flood troubles, Norman, and i really feel for you up there. I (almost) feel guilty for living down here. It's been in the 70's for about the last 10 days, with only a few minutes of rain here and there. When we get "weather", it causes a local panic. You have to live with it for months at a time.

I was really impressed with the folks in Fargo, ND. They asked children from grade school to come and help and they were there like a shot! Our turn's coming too. Small communities have the right spirit.

Your nice weather tells me there is a warm-weather angel out there. They broke up a big Ice Jam further north, but more folks are being evacuated.

If people can reach out in this natural crises, we can get through this economic one too. The Province just published this year's budget, and they're gonna bump up a couple of sin-taxes (tobacco and booze) by a couple points, and eliminate all the camping park fees throughout the province, so that we can go and relax for free. Used to be $50 per car. This is when having a Toronado 9-door wagon really pays. :rofl2:
