With some work, that would be an awsome lil SLEEPER! I was lookin that over lastnight. Pretty tempting if I had the extra moneys.
LOL....yeah...looks like they washed a Crown Vic and it shrunk in the sun. Actually, I always liked these wagons though.
You all are bad, very bad. Those cars have a following you know. http://www.chryslerkcar.com/forum/index.php http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/18/it-was-bound-to-happen-k-car-club-springs-up/4 The Antique Automobile Club of America recognizes and will judge all 1984 and older vehicles, including the Chrysler mini-vans and K cars.
I think the woody look is cute but I don't like messing with it. I guess I like the plain one's better. Well....maybe not.
Sure looks a lot like an early 80's Ford Escort Squire. Just makes me want to get a nice 81 Escort or the Mercury Villager model even more. Looks like the taillights would fit, too.
IIRC the '81s blew out head gaskets sometime before 100K miles. Had some problems with oil pump leakage too. But...anything is fixable.
For me, the only downside with the Escorts, et al. is the Front Wheel Drive. I don't like that about them. My wife is so, so about that too. But I'd like one anyway to have my Squire's baby version in the driveway, and puttering around town. She's gonna a need a car for her hobbies and piano lessons, and she prefers a Standard to an Auto trans. She likes the idea of the smaller Fairmont in the yard too, and especially a wagon!
