Well my truck is on it's deathbed. New engine runs great but the rest will be history. Tomorrow We will start taking the front end off so we can pull the motor and tranny.
Ouch! What died? We had an old tow truck that dad made from two trucks by welding up the frames behind the cab. Well, one day he decided to pull a 15" diameter pipe out of the ground with it, and it broke in two, not at the welds though, the Power Take off and the rear axle! two days later it was back together. And it was a 1955 GMC, not Ford Tough!
My wife killed it. the truth is we are moving and I can't finish it since it has a fresh engine I am hoping to find a mid 60's Fairlane wagon to stuff all the EFI and AOD trans into.
Take her on an expedition to Alaska! Up here, kids steal those like muffins, if they can't find a big Caddy or Lincoln SUV first. They figure that when the cops stop them, they can survive a roll-over or take a cop down in the process. Something about the Factory Immobilizers that's easy for them to figure out. Go figure. Must be a good vehicle though, cause they sure are popular.
They are a member at FTE had one got hit by a 18 wheeler at 60 mph and walked away both the Expedition and 18 wheeler was totaled
I'm hungry, pooped and gonna make some popcorn and watch another spaghetti western (I had spaghetti for lunch). The wife made up a batch of noodles and sauce before she left, cause she knows I'd eat Andy's homemade banana bread, and get to the frozen Porterhouse steaks on the BBQ! Andy's a heck of a baker, guys!
I'm really starting to hate TV. We don't want cable, and we don't have it, but the programming they test-market on us Antenna folks is old, dumb, and all the Seven Words you can't use in the media! So I bought videos, good old flicks I enjoyed as a youngster and a teen, and up to about 50-ish. Since that age, there's only a few that really appeal - The Bourne trilogy set, some of Bruce Willis' flicks, George Harrison's Indiana series - Raiders, etc. And Discovery Channel documentaries on Nature. When I was in Computer Science, we had this famous saying - G.I.G.O. - Garbage In - Garbage Out. I've got enough good memories and thoughts that I don't need the crap they serve up on TV and have the gall to call 'entertainment'.
