View Full Version : Brand new wagons wagons from the 1970s
wagonmaster 2006-10-08, 03:18 AM There are currently 2 brand new wagons that are 30+ years old on ebay!
Im sure everyone has seen the Buick (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buick-Estate-Wagon-1972-Buick-Estate-Wagon-ONLY-266-MILES_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6144QQihZ010QQite mZ200034121977QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW) with 266 miles, but I have never seen this Vega (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/77-CHEVY-VEGA-WAGON-15-ORIGINAL-MILES-NEVER-BEEN-TITLED_W0QQitemZ150040555305QQihZ005QQcategoryZ617 3QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)with 15 miles. Both cars would be great for a wagon lovers collection.
wagonmaster 2006-10-08, 03:44 AM Here is a 1979 Pinto with 400 miles! Not a wagon, but its like a new car none the less.

the Rev 2006-10-09, 14:58 PM well that figures:lolup: ...i've always wanted a Vega wagon....finally find one.....and its too clean to drive:icon_drive:
tbirdsps 2006-10-11, 18:45 PM I could go for the Buick. I had a Vega and don't need that experience again. But, however a Vega Kammback with the cosworth engine would be nice.
DaWagonMama 2006-10-11, 19:08 PM :wow: :omg: I want that BUICK!!! It would be the perfect tow vehicle for my Sporty...... and it even matches my wagons color.
I know what I want for my Birthday :rofl2:

Forever-27 2009-11-01, 19:55 PM Id wonder before actually buying the Vega or the Buick. With that few miles on them they were barely drives off the lot as new cars. Makes me think , maybe the tranny seals are dried up, or the gaskets are gonzo. Im leary aout these things on almost new 60s and 70s cars.
72KingswoodEstate 2009-11-01, 20:57 PM My, that was a tease... I was clicking, getting excited to see these (had seen the Buick before, but not the Vega) and realized the thread was 3 years old. lol.
BillT 2009-11-01, 22:52 PM Talking about low mileage vehicles, a friend of mine has an '87 Ford Ranger with 538 miles. It's always been garaged and it's pretty close to brand new.

I bought a low mileage (24 thou) 55 chevy. I replaced dern near every fricking seal and rubber part in that car the first yr I had it.
Steve-E-D 2009-11-02, 03:24 AM I would expect to be replacing gaskets and seals on a car of that age whether it was 200 or 200K miles. That just comes with the territory. Pretty common off the shelf items for the most part. Rust free steel and all original interiors with no UV damage or wear, thats priceless.
