why is it that a forum for "Wagons" has a hell of time getting members to join and post.....but yet everything else seems to go like gangbusters?? ...like i said in my intro....i've lurked around at the 3 or so ..other "wagon" boards,before getting here....and i think someone should call 911....cause theres some boards dying a slow death out there ! Yano?...its not like "wagons" are'nt popular...matter of fact...they're one of the hotter tickets in the 'car world' soooo?....riddle me this .....are most "wagon fans"....complacent?...or lazy?....or not 'net/geeks'?....or....what? I'm not trying to offend anyone....really...i'm not ...but theres ...what?....70 plus people sign in here....take away the spammers....ok....55 plus...but yet....NO posts?!?! Hey Wagonmaster ....maybe you should change the policy for 'charter members' freebies....to ....you get stuff after..."this many" posts...(pic a number).....maybe that would be more incentive...hehe ....and before someone says it.....ya....i'd rather be a 'postwhore'...than a lurker thus the name.....hahaha
I know what you mean, its taking longer than I expected as well. Then again, many people were on vacation the last couple of months, so that could be a contributing factor as well. This one is far from dead, I am goin to upgrade it soon and will introduce some new features. One of the new features should get members to come back more often. Yup! Wagons in and SUVs are out! Only time will tell. By now most people should have computers as they are getting easier to use. I also think this forum is very user friendly and there should not be that much of a learning curve (maybe im wrong?) Once we get 100 members, im going to email everyone at once and ask them to come visit the forum as I have something planned In the email,ill ask members who have not introduced themselves to do so and at the same time I will have a mystery wagon contest. This should give the forum a kickstart. The Charter member incentive was not as sucessfull as I thought it would be. Im going to keep offering untill we get 100 members and then I will implement a "promotion" system like you described. Thank for the support Rev BTW, how did you find this forum?
....how did i find this forum??hmmm...well to start this story...proper like a pal from another 'car' site ,sent me a link to one of the other wagon site 's..cause he knew a guy ,that knew 'the' guy...that owns the site...its a real spiffy lookin lil site...but slower than me workin on my cars .. ...then one day...the Administrator from 'another wagon' site signs in and leaves a link to his site...so i drift over there...not as purty as the first one.. ...but better layout !!(tooo many categories tho) ...then it comes to a slow stop??!!(not even the moderators were posting).... ...anyhoor...one day at work....i'm tryin to find it on Google....and see this other link to another site!!?....i check it out....boring....but i check out the links(cause i'm at work) hehe and a link sends me to a link that sends me to a link ....oy.....that sends me to you !! And here we are ....a long answer for sure....but it wouldnt have made as much sense in short...lol
