Ok few questions need to be asked. What do you want out of your car? Handling? Type of ride? How low do you want to go? How much do you want to spend?

Would like to lower the front about 1"-1 1/2", with a nice ride, so nooooooooo cutting springs!!!! Also if there is an airbag kit out there I would love that, price no issue!

I'ts essentially the same chassis '77- '96 so there are lots of combinations. Unfortunately the aftermarket has no doubt "condensed" them.
Figure out what your OE springs are and do the math. You are asking to lower it a lot. I promise your ride will go to hell if you eliminate that much suspension travel.

Ok if momey is no object your best bet would be air ride. I am sure someone would make some kind of kit the question would be how much fabricating you would need to do. As for standard type springs. cutting them really doesn't hurt the ride. But you can go to low. I found this out myself. It is pretty easy to put these cars on the bumpstops which will also happen with air ride unless the A arms are modified or replaced with other units. But again I have yet to find a company that claims that. But at 1.5 inches you will be safe. G-body rear springs make a nice rear lowering spring but it is a larger drop than you want and the front would be close to if not on the bumpstops with the car being level. But saying all this the ride on the bumpstops wasn't all that bad. But the handling went to hell and that is what I was after.

I didn't say a 1 inch was alot. I said it was easy to put hem on the bumpstops. But if you use Regal rear springs(G-Body) it will be more than 1 inch. That is using STOCK G-body springs, not lowering ones. The front ones may or may not work. I never tried but from looking at them side by side I would bet they won't.

Speaking of bump stops. You might want to look into the ZQ8 bump stops. They originally came on the ZQ8 package on S-10's. I know a bunch of lowered guys on impalassforum.com run them. I am assuming your front suspension would be the same. I actually have a set on my Crown Vic as well.

The type of bump stops would have helped. Mine sat low enough it crushed them
