I've got a funny story Rev. The guy that told it to me had a business partner in his exotic lumber shop who went to work as a manager for a chain in Canada (maybe the US too) called the Nut Man. They sell nuts from all over the world. The way the story goes, a guy with a lisp walks into the store and walks through the aisles looking at the nuts and the prices. He's the only customer in the store, so he asks the manager "How mutch (much) are your cathews (cashews)?" The Nut Man answers "They're $8.95 per pound." The fellow answers "Thank you very mutch." He gets to the walnuts and again, a bit shocked at these prices he asks "And how mutch are your walnuths?" The manager answers "$15.95 per pound." The guy says again, "Thanks mutchly." Then he decides that the place is too expensive, but before he leaves he thanks the manager for not laughing at his lisp. The Nut Man thanks him for not laughing at his big nose. The guy says "That's your nose? I thought it was your pr*ck because your nuts are so high!" Now how this relates to the guys on this board is that I go on and on about my Roller Paint Job and you guys are really great putting up with my ups and downs and trials and tribulations. Thanks!
speaking of waaay off topic... so when i bought the wagon, the key switch that operates the winder in the back was inop. so without wanting to mess with the OG wiring i ran a new mini harness from a intermitant switc so i can roll it up and down. so at last one of the cklist. so i open the storage treasure chest and i find all sorts of crap from the 80's and stuff. but the jewel (at least in my eye) was 4 ea OG window scrapers from ford. man! them scrapers run about 125 bolas from the resto peeps! so all this time i had 250.00 worth in parts in the back and didnt even know it! :2_thumbs_up_-_anima im stoked... and theyre in preemo condition!!! como que no, good things do happen to little brown guys!!
if i had extras i would..... man, so get this. yesterday i pulled in from helping a supervisor that gettin out and movin to FL with his car. longstory short it was a pain in the ass! from broken spark plug in the head to bad dist. to bad leaky water pump. anyways, i get home and park the wagon. so about 15 mins go by and i notice someone is at the bottom of my driveway across the street. so i was walking by the window and i approach the door. and what do i see?!!! the wagon! it got loose! someone left the gate open !!! i know i put it in park, i think theres a rod under there to adjust the PRNDL caus ethe Park is barely at the top. man i was crappin bricks! but anyways that was waaay off topic huh?
dude ....thats not offf topic....hell...at least your talking about a wagon! ...a 'runaway' one ...but a wagon!! anyhoo....YA...have someone adjust that shifter linkage...before it ends up in my driveway... ... I had one do that years ago...it rode the curb down the street for almost 400 feet!!!...before it hit another car!! ......
hmm...lessee....should be down on the tranny...rod to shifter bar...remove cotter pin...should be threaded...turn as to lengthen or shorten(which ever it needs to do)...maybe just a few rotations...put back together.....OR... its up on the colum...in the engine compartment and has a 'tension bolt'...the rod has a flat side where the bolt locks on...same theory...shorten or lengthen as per required
